Ellen's "Win a Trip to Australia" Contest - One Entry (3/15/13)
Prize: One (1) winner will be awarded for the winner and one (1) guest: round trip economy class airfare to either Melbourne or Sydney, Australia (as determined solely by the sponsor) from one of the following three airports: Los Angeles, New York City, or Dallas/Fort Worth; hotel accommodations for six (6) nights; transportation voucher for use within Australia. Total ARV: $4,800.

1) Complete the contest registration form by entering the following information: your first name; last name; email address; home phone number with area code, street address, city, state or province, zip or postal code, country, date of birth, and verification that you are at least 18 years of age and have read and understand the Official Rules.
(2) Submit an essay of no more than 300 words explaining why you deserve to win this trip of a lifetime.
(3) Upload a recent photo of yourself.
You will be disqualified if you do not fill in all the required fields.
Entry Limit: One (1) entry per person
Eligibility: Legal residents who are physically residing in one of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, or Canada who are least at eighteen (18) years old as of the date of entry. Residents of Puerto Rico; Guam; American Samoa; United States territories, possessions, and protectorates; foreign based United States military installations; and Quebec are not eligible to enter. Void wherever restricted or prohibited by law.

Important Additional Information:
The winner will be notified by phone and/or email. If the winner does not accept the prize and/or return all required documentation and signatures within twenty-four (24) hours following the date and time the prize is awarded, then that winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.
The flights to Australia depart from the Los Angeles, New York City, and Dallas/Fort Worth airports. It is the sole responsibility of the winner to coordinate, at the winner’s sole cost, travel to one of these airports for the flight to Australia.
The potential contest winner will be chosen as follows: a judging panel chosen at the sole discretion of the sponsor will select approximately five (5) essays for final voting using the following judging criteria: (i) creativity (33 1/3%); (ii) originality (33 1/3%); and (iii) appropriateness to the theme of why you deserve to win the trip of a lifetime (33 1/3%). The essay receiving the most votes by the judges will receive the prize. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the contestant whose photo/essay is considered more creative as determined by the judges.
The prize expires on November 30, 2013.
