    Default What do you do when cashier gets angry @ coupons?

    So today I was in Target and had a few Nivea coupons I printed out from the Target website for bodywash, it was already on sale for $2.43 so it came out free because the coupon was for $3.00 I went to the first cashier and she completely freaked out and said she didn't know how to scan them and to go wait in another line. As I waited in the other line the store manager approached me and told me I was only allowed to get one bottle. I told her I would use cash for one transaction and my credit card for the next ( Mind you I wasn't paying anything at all for it). She gave me an attitude and I noticed all the cashiers were extremely rude and rolled their eyes as my total came out to $0.00. Everything was legit. Not to mention the security guard followed me around the store the second time I came in. I was not doing anything illegal I just took advantage of the coupons that were on the actually Target website, but it really bothered me on how they treated me. I felt like they viewed me as a theif. What do you suggest I do next time, find another Target? I just want to know if any of you savers have experienced this?

    WOW-where do I begin...I'll try not to ramble...
    So sorry that happened to you & I have had MULTIPLE troubles-esp w/ as many free coupons & getting things free that are marked down,whatever...
    I would email the company-there is NO excuse for that kind of treatment.I know at Walgreens,we would modify the coupon to the price.I'm not 1 to write companies just to get free stuff or get ppl fired (love when some of my thieves complain that I'm following them & they want me fired),so it takes alot for me to write.esp working at Walgreens for 10 yrs now.I tend to cut them slack,but I'm critical of store help that are ignorant of policies or treat couponers like they're thieves cuz we get stuff free.Let me sum up the complaints I've made-which isn't many,but WOW !
    #1-I had 2 free coupons for 12 pks of Propel water (sweeps,I believe) & took them to Harmon's here in UT.The cashier looked them over (they had the hologram & "foil" strip,etc...) felt them,turned them over,handed them back to me & said "Nope,nice try." I thought I was hearing things ! I said "Excuse me ?!?" She said that "real coupons aren't that thick"-YES-basically accusing me of making them !!! Anyways,I asked to speak to a manager & related the whole thing back to her.She looked at them & said,"No,I won't take these,I can't be sure these are real & I'm not going to get in trouble." Of course I am feeling totally embarrassed & humiliated & getting nowhere-esp the attitudes,so I asked for the # of someone above her that I could call & she said that the store manager will be in at 10 AM-so I'm talking to a shift lead ! You bet I called & came back to talk to her,but in the meantime I had fired off an email to their corp office about such callous treatment. She couldn't believe what had transpired when I told her,apologized profusely of course & personally rang me up.As I was leaving,I could hear her telling the girls she wanted to talk to them.I got an apology letter from the corp saying they were looking into it & they gave me a $25 GC.(like I said,not my goal,just letting them know about BS treatment-you better believe if I acted that way,my boss would've chewed me out.)
    #2-I had 5 free Starkist tuna pouch coupons from an IWG & at Dominick's (in IL-Safeway) they made a big deal,even showing to the bank tellers & almost weren't going to give them back ! (I was only using 2) ! I posted about it here when it happened-I'll see if I can find it & bump it up instead of rehashing a long rambling story.It was a def customer service nightmare-they were all so busy checking out my coupons & totally ignoring the lady that got in line behind me.

    I am not perfect,but I love my job & my customers really like me-I work hard & am always pleasant & helpful.(not to brag,but I have gotten many recognitions for customers calling about me) As I said,ignorance of policies & rudeness drive me crazy-GOOD customer service is hard to find...

    OK,time to end this cuz I'm rambling & getting tired.I would complain as I said in the beginning-LOL.Let me know what you decide & what happens.
