Vistaprint.com is one of the top online suppliers of customizable marketing materials and printed products, including business cards, websites, banners, t-shirts, and more. Last year the company processed over 27 million orders and acquired more than 9 million new customers, thanks in part to its promotion of free business cards, Vistaprint free shipping, and other deals attached to its printing services.

These so-called Vistaprint “deals” have landed the company in hot water, however, in the form of numerous lawsuits and consumer class action lawsuits accusing Vistaprint of imposing unauthorized charges and overbilling customers.

In 2005, the California Superior Court approved a class action lawsuit settlement between Vistaprint and California customers who alleged the company charged excessive shipping-and-handling fees in violation of California law. Vistaprint denied the allegations, but agreed to offer free business cards through a Vistaprint coupon code as part of the class action settlement in the case (Jon Talarico v. Vistaprint USA Inc. and Vistaprint.com Inc.)

Another Vistaprint class action lawsuit was dismissed in 2009, however. That Vistaprint lawsuit accused the company of violating various laws in connection with certain third-party membership discount programs offered to customers on Vistaprint.com.

Despite these legal woes, the online printing services company may still be engaging in deceptive marketing and/or illegal business practices under California law. The consumer advocates at Khorrami Boucher Sumner Sanguinetti, LLP are actively looking for California consumers to participate in a free Vistaprint class action lawsuit investigation to force the company to stop engaging in these allegedly improper business practices.

If you purchased online printing services or obtained free products such as business cards from Vistaprint.com within the past four years, you may be eligible to join a class action lawsuit against the company. It is absolutely free to participate, and you may receive compensation if a class action settlement is obtained. Submit your information now!

Just curious but did VistaPrint not do this to customers globally? Is this only because of California laws or does it apply to people everywhere as well?
