Yeah, up here in NE PA.... you need ice, major blizzards- I once got pulled out of a snow drift waist high to go to the hospital when ALL the roads were closed to 'regular' traffic expect 'emergency' personnel...my boss came and picked me up! Lucky me! People here go places on snowmobile and ATV in the country. That's how we got some people into the hospital at times when it was REALLY bad. It was funny to see snowmobiles coming into the ER- but hey, they did what they had to do. Especially when we were stuck there for 5 days!

My daughter was upset today that they closed school-she was whining that it was just going to push her graduation date back. Then she went out with her girlfriend to see a movie and now she is over her boyfriend's house. I can see she is REALLY concerned about her midterm tomorrow! :roll:

Hey, Amanda- you know when I can't figure out why they call off school here...they didn't Friday morning (supposed to have a midterm, my daughter went because of the midterm)- accidents EVERYWHERE! Someone almost hit my daughter- she has 4 wheel drive. hey get there and guess what? They cancelled the mid- term! Seniors started walking out and they called the police to keep them from leaving. UGH! Other schools closed all around us...they cannot get this right! I am not on a 'regular' FB site (only use one for sweeps, etc) but my daughter said moms were blowing up the school FB site complaining and it wasn't pretty...

Well, we got 7 inches of snow last night...both girls are off from school. My husband's clients all cancelled but one (so he shut the office)- will continue to have light snow and will turn into ice later...oh, yea! Whatever, is not plowed (like my driveway!...where is this guy?) will freeze because temps will go down to 2 (yes, two) degrees later. Right now it is in the 20's but wind is blowing up to 60mph at times!

It has been SO cold here these past couple weeks our weather people have been playing a game...Colder here in NE PA or Alaska? and of course the answer has always been NE PA... the people in Alaska will be saying those poor SOB's in NE PA! ;) It was REALLY warm today (NOT kidding) 25 degrees! It was the warmest it has been in a couple days. Our one weatherman is so excited because it 'might' get above 40 and rain on Sat!!! OMG! We haven't seen that in months!!!

When we went to the laundrymat a little before 4am bank clock said 2 degrees, coming home a little after 5am same clock said 0 ~~ Our themometer said -4 and accuweather said -5 with a real feel of 5 What a difference from 54 degrees last week

When I got out of the hospital yesterday afternoon it was 42 and raining (felt like a nice spring day with no snow on ground) ~ in the evening it started to sleet and hail about 1/2" size balls ~ now it is 30 out with a "real feel" of 19, raining and snow mixture. Don says we got about 5" of snow overnight. He had to pump out Padre's basement twice and now shoveling sidewalks and driveways

We got up to 37 yesterday ~ right now it is about 15 degrees and we got a couple inches of wet snow over the night, and temps will be dropping most of the day

Right now it is about 7 degrees here in Southeastern Wisconsin ~ we got about 7" of snow over night, schools were actually closed and I got an automated call a couple minutes before 9pm (which is very unusal because all the schools around us were announced closed before 5pm and whitewater is always the last school to close at the last minute ~ if it does which is rarely)

What a day yesterday was-power was out for 7 hrs,then 15 mins after it came on,Comcast went down for a little over an hr.Driving to work last night was not fun-my subdivision was plowed more than the main roads.Stopped snowing a little after 8AM,now the sun is out (don't be fooled-it's about 10 degrees).

Had to run to Fort Atkinson to get some chicken feed, back roads are really flooded and so are the fields and barns.

accuweather says Whitewater is 25 degrees with a "real feel" of 5 degrees ~ It snowed between 3" - 4" of snow last night and still snowing. Plows went by my house about 3 am. I am waiting awhile before I take Don and Rissa to Urgent Care because I want to be sure Janesville and Rock County has had plenty of time to plow snow off the roads. Walworth County plows should also be done by then.

We are getting almost all seasons today here in Wisconsin. We had rain, then high winds, then rain and high winds, then rain and sleet, and now snow

Still snowing, been shoveling for the last 2 days. We were only suppose to get 1 - 2 inches yesterday but got alot of wet heavy stuff and then still snowing but not as wet and heavy. I shovel 7 properties when Don is not Home and I am not as young as I use to be ~ suppose to be in the 50's by the end of the week.

Felt sorry for the robins (found a dead baby bird while shoveling Shirley's place) trying to find food. Not sure where the bird seed is in the garage, so bought another bag and put some on my driveway with some bread pieces for them.

Right now it is 28 and sunny. We got about 5" of snow last night while I was at work. Was not fun scraping the snow and ice off the windows this morning. Got done shoveling everyone's sidewalks. Still need to shovel a path to the garage and chickens and feed them. Did get part of driveway done, so I could throw out seed for the wild birds
