Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10 Upgrades will be free to owners of devices running Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Phone (http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-30924022), BBC notes. The offer will be limited to the new operating system's first year of release. Included with Windows 10 is Cortana, Microsoft's voice-controlled digital assistant.
