One (1) winner will receive the grand-prize and 10 runners-up will receive a second-place prize.
Grand Prize: Trip for winner plus up to two family members to the National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C., to attend the 2018 Explorers Symposium in June. Prize includes round-trip airfare from major airport nearest to winner’s home to Washington, D.C., three nights at a hotel, some meals and entertainment, plus $100 per diem for food and travel expenses. Prize is not transferable. Exact dates in June 2018 to be determined. Estimated value of grand prize is $2,500.
Second-Place Prize: A National Geographic branded backpack, a National Geographic Kids branded T-shirt, and set of books, including the Ultimate Explorer Guide and six (6) Ultimate Explorer Field Guides. Estimated value of each second-place prize is $135.
