Making Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Tomato Soup Defiantly a good day for it and Don chose the meal ~ Hope he eats it.
Yesterday I made Thick Home made chicken veggie soup and chocolate chip cookies for Dessert. Don actually like it. At least I am getting him to eat some stuff. I had to cut everything very small so that he really did not have chew anything, if it hurt too much.
I am making Banquet Salisbury Steaks in gravy and also making Idaho Loaded Baked Potato Pearls mashed potatoes. I am snacking on some Tostitos and Guac. Chocolate Chip cookies for dessert.
It has been over a decade or 2 since I made a Shepard's pie. It popped in my head and I decided it would be something Don can eat. We shall see how this goes, as he is already saying he probably won't eat it. I am using beef, not lamb (wish I had some it would be heavenly). Fingers crossed everyone.
Don did not touch the Shepard's Pie. No idea what he decided to eat. We did have chocolate chip cookies which he as been eating occasionally even if it is only half a cookie. He breaks it in half and eats one and puts the other back in the jar.
There is so much stuff in fridge right now that Don has decided he does not want. I understand his issue and trying to cater to him, however He has been informed that it is whatever you can find that you want to eat. I am not making anything! Too many leftovers and I don't waste food.
I reheated some Shepard's pie and chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
Came home from work and had half an egg salad sandwich on whole grain toast and the rest of the pea cheese and ham macaroni salad.
Don wants Hamburgers and home made fries. That is what I will make him. I on the other hand will probably eat leftovers. That way he will have stuff I know he will eat, later if he wants.
As soon as Don got up this morning I kept asking what he wanted to eat. He is suppose to eat a light supper and low fat before surgery. We still don't know what time that is. He finally said he wanted a whole stuffed roasted chicken with home made mashed potatoes'. Still not done. Hand out said to stop drinking alcohol by 8pm. Nurse said 24 hours before surgery. I have to stay up until food is made. I will either eat leftovers or nothing. I have to work tonite yet.
Don ate 2 burgers and the fries last night ~ I consider that a win
***I did have some of the chicken and stuffing. Just went to bed a little later.

Don had surgery on Tuesday. I ate about 2 tbs of egg salad while he was in the shower. The rest of the day I had 3/4 bag if red twizzlers and a bottle of Blue Powerade
When I got home from the hospital today (it was so late when he finally got to his room, I felt it not safe to drive on no sleep so I stayed there), I heated up the last cheeseburger and ate the rest of the stuffing.
After my nap, I drank the last king can of Hamms and now drinking my 2nd home made wine cooler
