WASHINGTON, Jan. 14, 2015 – J & G Foods, Inc., a Sutton, MA establishment, is recalling approximately 33,948 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with plastic materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The ground beef products were produced on Dec. 23, 2014. The following products are subject to recall:

The problem was discovered after the firm received consumer complaints through retail establishments that the product contained small malleable plastic pieces.
