BROOMFIELD, Colo. -An inadvertent package error forced a recall of boxed crackers Friday, according to a federal food safety agency.

The Food and Drug Administration said WhiteWave Foods voluntarily recalled its Horizon Cheddar Sandwich Crackers because the box might contain the wrong crackers.
The recalled boxes have an outer Horizon package labeled as a cheddar sandwich cracker and an inner package that contains the peanut butter sandwich crackers.
People who have an allergy or sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product, the FDA said. No illnesses had been reported Friday night.
The affected packages are boxes with a “best before” date of 17 May 2015 and a UPC of 42365 00464, according to the release.
The FDA said fewer than 62,160 boxes of the switched Horizon crackers were shipped to retailers in Wisconsin and 31 other states.
Consumers who purchased the product may return it to the store for a refund or exchange. Consumers with questions can contact WhiteWave Foods at 866-663-4349 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. central time
