June 10, 2019 -- Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling 190,757 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken fritter products that may be contaminated with hard plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture says.
Tyson sent the chicken fritters to institutions including schools, but only for commercial sales. The fritters are not part of the National School Lunch Program.
The nationwide recall comes after three school consumers complained that they found foreign material in the breaded chicken fritter product.
The products recalled are 32.81-pound cases containing four 8.2-pound bags of “FULLY COOKED, WHOLE GRAINGOLDEN CRISPY CHICKEN CHUNK FRITTERS-CN,” with case code 0599NHL02.
